Thank You

Cares logo.JPG

In 2017 the Westlake Professional Firefighters Association was able to donate $11,488.90, thanks to the generosity of the members of our community and those who were just passing through. Most of this money was collected during our Bucket Brigades that were held twice last year.

Your kindness allowed us to grant a child's wish through Make-A-Wish of Central and South Texas, provide financial aid to firefighters in flood and hurricane affected areas of Louisiana and Texas, donate to the Cohnway Johnson Memorial Scholarship Fund, and help a local firefighter who was involved in a devastating accident. None of this would have been possible without your help, and for that we are very grateful.

Thank you,

Westlake Professional Firefighters Association, Local 4147

Taking Care of our Texas Firefighters

IMG_wipff.jpg
Hurricane Harvey has devastated 50 counties at or near the Texas Gulf Coast. While first responders are helping the citizens in their cities and towns, many of their own homes, fire stations and equipment have sustained damage or been completely destroyed.
WPIFF is partnering with the Texas Fire Chief ’s Association (TFCA) to raise capital for the rebuilding of homes for firefighters in the 50 counties effected by Hurricane Harvey. Donate to our Firefighting Rebuilding Fund today to help our Texas Firefighters.

If you see our Firefighters out and about for the Bucket Brigade, please throw some change in their buckets! 100% of your donation will go to the WPI Firefighters' Fund whose board evaluates all requests for money. WPI's overhead costs are underwritten, so all donated funds go directly to the selected recipients.

Or if you'd like, check out their website to donate online.

Our Make-A-Wish Visit

Members of the Westlake Fire Department helping with Make-A-Wish.

We were very honored and excited to help Make-A-Wish of Central and South Texas this week with a fire station visit for a very special young man. In addition to the visit to the fire station, our new friend will be making a trip to Disney World later this month. This was the happy result of our Bucket Brigade fundraising campaign from earlier this year, so a big Thank You to everyone who donated to the cause! We plan to be back out there in the fall, so do us a favor and collect your spare change to we can help make another child's wish come true!
